SynthCore-X
Is a creative journey through organic fiction where neither the laws of nature nor physics apply. Strange biological entities unfold throughout this audiovisual expedition. “A simple substance travels through the bloodstream; it settles as a microscopic swarm of interwoven circuits, with encrypted messages in Ambient, Dubstep, Trip-Hop, and Techno forming hallucinatory ecosystems—a visual exploration of a reality woven from the synthetic.”
Carlo Filio, a.k.a. Buena Tarde, a Mexican musician and producer from Guadalajara, Jalisco, and Anahy Cabrera, a.k.a. ztaa from Mexico City, join forces to create a series of audiovisual collaborations. Their work emerges from a fusion of rhythms, sound design, and textural manipulation, transforming into microtonal scales, hypnotic melodies, and layers of subsonic frequencies that link to generative forms reminiscent of synthetic botany—an ecosystem in constant evolution, growth, distortion, and decline.
Within this abstract and psychedelic harmony, they guide listeners into a bittersweet, futuristic atmosphere. Together, they paint synthetic, navigable landscapes characterized by an austere, monolithic, amorphous, and laconic style.

Defender x Mutek x Gatopardo: una sinfonía creativa
https://vimeo.com/1019886529
Some productions are just jobs; others turn into opportunities to create something extraordinary. The collaboration between Defender, Mutek, and Gatopardo was precisely that: a collective effort where over 30 people joined forces to craft something out of the ordinary. From the very beginning, we trusted the outcome would be spectacular—and it was.
This project embodied the perfect union of brands that share a vision of innovation and exploration. Defender, with its adventurous spirit, and Mutek, a pioneer in electronic music and digital art, found common ground in this collaboration through their constant pursuit of new creative frontiers. Under the creative direction of filmmaker Toto Martinez, the collaborative energy of these three entities allowed us to shape an immersive experience that reflected each brand's commitment to pushing boundaries and fostering technological innovation.

20 years of MUTEK MX
This site-specific project presents an audio-light installation that invites viewers on a perceptual journey. The technological composition of the setup, formed by various sources, explores the relationship between light and sound. As the different elements take center stage, a dynamic dialogue emerges, where the visual amplifies the auditory. This interplay transforms the space, proposing an experience where sound takes shape and becomes tangible.

Bleach Codex: Bio-Aesthetics of the Anthropocene
Through the following canvases, we delve into a speculative world where an iconic biome—the coral reef—is carefully preserved in a virtual archive. In a present where species extinction is a growing concern, visual and auditory representations bear witness to natural richness. The work centers on the unprecedented human impact on nature, engaging in critical dialogue with this era. Through artistic exploration, it proposes an imaginary that oscillates between techno-utopian hope and reflection on the challenges faced by our environment. This futuristic vision presents a scenario where nature is preserved by technology, creating a stark contrast by revealing the duality between the ethereal beauty of corals and a desolate atmosphere that reflects an extinction aesthetic.

MUTEK MX Microverse 3
https://mexico.mutek.org/es/noticias/mutek-mx-microverse-3-ztaa
The piece is inspired by the idea of sub-dissolution and sub-reorganization as fundamental concepts within the sound-space-time continuum. This creative process explores a mathematical vision where forms and structures emerge and disintegrate in a perpetual cycle. Influenced by deconstructivist architecture, the work fuses spatial and auditory elements to create a dynamic mosaic in constant evolution and metamorphosis. With a continuous state of iteration, it suggests an intricate, sound-driven dance oscillating between the structured and the chaotic.

NTRPY_1.0
The concept of entropy becomes the central axis of this performance, where auditory and visual elements intertwine in a chaotic flow. Sounds and images are thrown in a stochastic manner, creating an atmosphere of unpredictability and spontaneity provided by improvisation. Through this exploration of entropy, the intersection between order and disorder is traversed, granting a degree of invariability.

Bio-mística y la percepción del éxtasis.
This audiovisual piece explores an abstract narrative of biological processes and their mysteries. From a human perspective, it establishes a connection with beings beyond the human, cohabiting a territory where tangible and intangible connections converge. Vibrations and life energies that construct processes and cycles linked to a form of biological sacrality are simultaneously presented.
But what endures in the anthropocenic history of this interspecies communication? In this context, sound, as one of the primary sources of perceptual development, essentially shares the intangible and establishes a powerful link with our senses. Pleasure then becomes one of the pillars through which our species understands itself, as well as other types of languages and forms of existence. It is an exploration of the ecstasy that arises from interspecies communication.

The Earth has Memory
Just as the roots of plants inquisitively seek their way into the depths of the Earth, extending their spectral arms to explore their surroundings, humans too have a tendency to connect with the core of the Earth. We root ourselves, reinforcing our awareness at the base, grounding our consciousness in the essence of the land.
'The Earth has memory' is an audiovisual artwork that immerses the viewer in a realm of subtle connections and profound reflections on the Earth's hidden interior. This work seeks to establish a link between humanity and the center of our planet: entering a cave can take on the nature of a regression to the source or what oniric atmospheres does the hermetic world of a stone reveal to us?. It plunges us into a journey, enveloped in a nocturnal predominance that reveals the Earth's erosional imprints and its unchanging record of time. It delves into the sacred vision held by minerals and unravels the spectral paths traced by the roots of life.
This artwork embraces abstract interpretations born from artistic imagination. As we progress through this sensory voyage, we bear witness to the profound connection that exists among all living beings and the very core of our planet. 'The Earth has memory' is a dance between humanity and the eternal memory of the Earth.

Phototropisme
Phototropisme is a serie of sculptures that occurred within 1 x 1 canvases; that metaphorically portray nature's slow morphological patterns in response to sunlight.
The work consists of 3 episodes in phonokinetic movement, each episode embodies different metaphors of supposed natural phenomena that occurred in different environments, making visible the invisible beauty of the effect of the sun on the forces of nature.
Accelerated natural phenomena to remember light constitutes life.

This piece is part of the exhibition In-visible, composed of different installations by various authors, curated by Brenda Castillo, co-founder of Circadia Studio. They were conceived with the premise of taking advantage of perception, light, darkness, and shadows. "We seek to highlight lighting as a central point in art, turning it into a language. Having the participation of Lutron, with Ketra, allowed artists to develop visually appealing and unique complex works. In addition, MMAC becomes the first museum in Mexico to use Ketra technology in its exhibitions," said Brenda Castillo.

"TRAVELERS" explores the idea of an audiovisual journey that goes through the evolution of a synthetic botany, through a generative system of simulation of growths, distortions, and responses in real time with sound, both artists create a live conversation between these 2 media .
The incorporation of sound made with synthesizers, processed by pedals and recorded on magnetic tape, converges with a series of visuals controlled by said frequencies, incorporating generative processes with graphics generated in real time.

Ø{Exsis}
https://www.instagram.com/desaxismundi
At first a slit, a slow pulsation that inexorably draws us towards a bend and what seems to be some extension of a now amplified phenomenon. A space taking shape at the rhythm of subtle and continuous oscillations opens up before us. A true antechamber foreshadowing what is to come, here flows and waves materialize in a process that seeks to reveal figures, patterns, and connections beyond the visible. Another step forward and we now find ourselves immersed in a final space where the boundaries are constantly mutating. Amid natural harmonies, synesthetic waves, and complex random vibrations, the elements seem to converse, collide, and resonate. Through different visual and sound devices, results of the hybridization of various apparatuses, lights, lasers, projection, and sound; Ø{ExsiS} is an experimentation of in-situ development of the necessary conditions towards the observation and understanding of the inexorable dialogue between the void and the immanence of a balance, random and fragile but fundamental, called space. As the culmination of the exhibition, desaxismundi and Z will present a large-scale immersive audiovisual piece that will be intervened three times by the artists and some special guests.
